Son of Samoa claims Gold

A son of Samoa and bodybuilder, Johnny Afoa, has won gold for Samoa at the 2017 I.F.B.B. South Pacific Oceania Championships.

This was confirmed in a Press release from the Samoa Body Building Association.

Afoa is currently training and based in Australia.

The Bodybuilding competition was setup by I.F.B.B. Vice-President Paul Graham and his wife Carole. It was held in Sydney.

 “The tournament brought in the best competitors from the South Pacific and Oceania region and featured 7x Mr Olympia Phil Heath.”

Afoa competed in the under 100kgs division.

“Johnny Afoa won Gold for the under 100kgs Division bringing his tally to 3 for 3 for this year among his many other achievements which includes Mr Australia 95Kgs Division.”

Afoa will now head to Spain to compete at the International Federation of Body Building Worlds competition. He will represent Samoa.

Afoa will be the Special Guest poser for the Mr Samoa National Championships which will be held at Tanoa on 25 November 2017.
