Argument leads to tragic death

A father who was stabbed to death last week, after being knifed on the head, has been identified as 45-year-old, Konelio Peteru, of Vaoala.

Police Spokesperson, Su’a Tiumalu, confirmed the incident yesterday.

Two men have been charged following the death of Mr. Peteru and they will appear in Court on 29 May 2017 .

Su'a Tiumalu told the Samoa Observer that alcohol was involved when the accident occured.

“He was taken to the hospital on Thursday night and died the next day,” a  family member said.

“He was found unconscious, bleeding from the head."

“From what I’ve been told, it was the result of an argument which led to a tragic death."

“He was stabbed with a knife and he was badly beaten up by those men..."

 “There are two deep cuts on his head...and he will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.”
