Falefitu Pe’a of Safato’a Lefaga needs help.

She admits that her family’s water supply has been disconnected because they could not afford the water bill.

Speaking to the Village Voice yesterday, Falefitu said her family could definitely do with a water tank.

While speaking to the Village Voice team yesterday, her mother, who is in her late 70’s, supported Falefitu’s humble plea.

Falefitu added when their water supply was being disconnected, they relied on their next door neighbour for help.

They also fetched water from the river.

“Our family relies on our plantation that we have.  The crops that we bring to the market are not much and we only earn $100 a week,” Falefitu said.

“Even though it is not much, we manage to use the money wisely to cater for our family obligations and church as well.”

Asked if she ever wanted to go and look for a job, Falefitu said she preferred the plantation to support her family.

“I am just a farmer and the truth is the cost of living is something that’s too expensive for us.”

Other than that, everything is alright and their family is happy.

The family does not have a contact number but have only their residential address for anyone willing to offer any help.
