Students of Leulumoega School of Fine Arts celebrated sweet success on Friday night.

The graduation ceremony held at the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel saw 10 students receiving diplomas, six of which were from Year 3 and four were in Year 4.

The graduates in Year 3 are Justin Toetu, Joseph Lorenzo, Sonny Samuelu, Tuailevao Sapati, Milosia Tulia and Malo Sipiliano.

Year 4 graduates were Avei Taupau Mua, Seti Apesolia, Tala Neuwli and Mativa Filipo.

Malo expressed gratitude over his achievement.

He said they had had to overcome a lot to be where they were today.

“To God be all the glory for He has done great things,” Malo said.

To Malo, this is the beginning of another chapter to show his parents how much he appreciates their hard work.

“We understand that it’s not easy these days to find money, but through their prayers and faith in God, that’s why we are here today.

“We’re looking forward to working hard for a better Samoa, especially for the development of our families.”

He said there’s more to look at.

“Being an artist is a dream come true, and to be honest, I have cousins who attended this school before and they’re successful in life.

“That’s why, I want to come and taste the sweetness of their journey, I know that nothing comes easy and we all know that, but believing in ourselves we’ll make everything much easier.

“This is not the end; we’ll continue to look for opportunities in the future to further our studies if any door opens for us.”

Vaiavi’i Tofilau, Avealalo Siitaga, Sanele Leiataua, Ielenimo Naseri, Benjamin Kalepo, Heper Maulalo, Stanley Setefano, Niko Nafanua, Timani Penitito, Jan Leautuli and Kitiona Simai in Year 2 also received their certificates.

Forty students were enrolled in the school this year.
