Leulumoeag Fou College has another reason to celebrate apart from their Under-18 boys’ team success.

The school’s Under-18 girls’ rugby team also triumphed during the Bluesky Secondary Schools Sevens tournament on Friday.

Captain, Tijuana Leuta said she was very proud of her team’s performance

“I am really happy and excited of what we have achieved.

“We know it was going to be a tough tournament, but we also believe that as a unit, we can come out victorious.”

Leuta was also selected as the Under-18 Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Eight teams competed in this year’s tournament from all over Savai’i and Upolu, while only Avele College, Nu’uausala College, Leulumoega Fou College and Palauli I Sisifo College from Savai’i, made it to the top four teams.

Leulumoega Fou College Under-18 girls’ team won all their three games in the Pool stage against Avele College, Itu o Asau College and Wesley College.

Avele College and Nu’uausala College Under-18 girls’ teams battled out for the third and fourth spot as they were the second seeds from pool stages matches.

Leulumoega Fou College and Palauli I Sisifo College went head to head for the Under-18 girls Cup final clash, which saw Leulumoega Fou College dominate the scoreboard and the game’s statistics.

At the end, Leulumoega Fou College defeated Palauli I Sisifo College 28-0 at fulltime.
