Samoans and their unique humor

Samoan sense of Humor.

There is no denying it, aside from our unique culture and way of life, one of the things that make us different from the rest of the world is our Samoan sense of humor.

Samoan humor at its best is like no other kind of humor. It is different, unique, truthful and can really make your stomach hurt from laughing so hard.

And it’s not just the jokes and make up stories that we hear every now and then. Sometimes it’s the way we do things. Most of us (Samoans) don’t take things seriously.

Take for instance; we had a video interview with Toa Samoa player and West Tigers winger, David Nofoaluma on Monday. We were half way through the interview when one of his team mates slapped him while answering one of our questions.

Yes he was being slapped and was caught on camera. Although some may think this was inappropriate, Samoans had a laugh at what they saw and David just turned around and said “Sole” and continued to answer the questions without even getting mad.

They must be Samoans right?

Here is another video that demonstrates our unique sense of humor.
