No pulenu’u anymore

Dear Editor

Re: An overly emotional editorial

Ok guys, first of all, according to the present government there is no such thing called “pulenuu” anymore, they are now called “government representatives”. Pulenuu was a matai who was appointed by the village to be a leader within the village but since the politicians stuck their noses into the village affairs and offered to pay the pulenuus, now they claim he/she is a government representative because the government is paying them in which is very dirty politics.

The government now has a saying of who can be a pulenuu and they also control the poor soul. Now the so called pulenuu is now a government puppet because if he/she does not do what the P.M. wants then he will be sacked by the powers that be.....
