Samoa’s smiling Centenarian

Not many people in Samoa reach the ripe old age of a hundred years. Yet today at Saina in Upolu, centenarian Anaseini ‘Tupou’ Mafo’e, is celebrating her 100th birthday. The matriarch of the family, Tupou, is joined by close to 200 relatives from all over the world, comprising her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, for a weeklong celebration.

Dear Editor With due respect to Jeffrey and his typical H.R.P.P. worded rant about idle land in Samoa going to waste, due to inactivity? What rain shower did Jeffery come down on? Has Jeffery just been swept into Samoa via Cyclone Gita? It is absurd to even suggest, that families from abroad are hell bent on keeping their Samoan families living on Customary Land in poverty!

Re: You have been warned, Samoa! I mentioned this a couple of years back when expressing concern over the level of debt back then to the Chinese EXIMBANK. This state owned bank has been operating in Africa and the Indian Ocean for years and the modus operandi is always the same.

Re: The sweat of success He’s been called lots of things, and most of them silly. The man was one of the worst war criminals of the 20th century, mowing down Sudanese tribesmen with machine guns during his youth, throwing the ANZACs at the Turks in WWI, using chemical weapons on the Arabs and Kurds after it, supporting Zionism...
