The late Leota To’omata Siaki has always dreamt about opening a bakery at Solosolo.

When he was called home, he had to rely on his children to fulfill that dream. Today, the opening of JAM’s Bakery is the fulfillment of it.

“The bakery is a dream of our late father and his love for bread,” said Flora Leota Wendt.

Mrs. Wendt said business exists to serve the village and nearby areas, saving them from having to travel to Apia to buy bread and other pastries.

The launch on Friday was not just the opening of JAM’s bakery, it was also the launch of Me’s Party Rentals, 123 Store and Sina’s Fashion.

According to Mrs. Wendt, the bakery is run by his brother, Tipatipatausala Ioane Leota. The projects cost close to half a million tala and it already employs 12 people.
