The Samoa Commercial Bank (S.C.B) donated $2,000 with food products, soaps, detergents and many other goodies to the sisters at the Home of the Elderly at Mapuifagalele.

Senior Officer of S.C.B, Tauiliili Ruth Penaia, said the donation is part of the bank’s services to the community.

“The whole purpose of this is we want to serve and also want to give back to the sisters who are looking after our elderly fathers and mothers here at the Home of the Elderly at Mapuifagalele,” she said.

“This is the first time we have done a donation like this to Mapuifagalele but we have done many other donations to different organizations and churches as well. “But this time our C.E.O and staff members have decided that we should lend a hand to the Home of the Elderly and especially the sisters who are here every day looking after and taking care of our elderly people.”

“All of the things that we have brought here today are all from our staff members, they all put in to this donation to make sure that all the elderly are well looked after. “We would also like to take this time to wish all the mothers here at Mapuifagalele and all over Samoa a Happy Mother’s Day.”
