The Member of Parliament for Sagaga Le Usoga, Seiuli Ueligitone Seiuli, is a relieved man.

Back in Parliament for a second tilt, the politician who only served a few months during the last Parliamentary sitting is looking forward to serving his constituency for five years.

“I am humbled by this calling,” Seiuli told the Samoa Observer.

“There’s a lot to do in the future. In terms of developments, I need to follow-up on some of our requests that I have submitted to the government with regards to the development of access roads, agricultural developments and water supply.”

“Those are some of my priorities.”

Last Friday, Seiuli defeated three other candidates to secure the seat.

He collected 1001 votes ahead of Maulolo Tavita Amosa, 485, Fata Meafou, 311 and Togatalima Faafouina Milford, 253.

Seiuli acknowledged the support of his constituency.

“I just want to say thank you to all of my supporters.”

Seiuli was sworn into Parliament in April last year. He replaced Muagututagata Peter Ah Him who resigned from the seat.
