A concerned member of the public shared a photograph of two men sleeping in a Samoa Water Authority (S.W.A.) pick up truck during the early hours of yesterday.

The member of the public, who asked for his name to be withheld to protect him from repercussions, said he came across the black double cab Toyota Hilux at 4.45am.

He said the vehicle was wrongly parked on the road at Lotopa where Frankie’s Supermarket is located.

“We were on our way to the Airport when we came across this vehicle,” he said.

“We tried to wake the driver and so as the passenger because they were parked at the wrong place but they were so drunk.”

“We are concerned because this is a public vehicle and I was wondering these people were doing with this government asset at such time.”

The Sunday Samoan could not confirm whether the men in the vehicle were employees of the Samoa Water Authority.

It was not possible to get a comment from the Samoa Water Authority yesterday.
