Bluesky regrets the inconvenience caused to hundreds of their customers who were left without mobile and internet connection yesterday.

The internet went off mid-morning and as of press time last night, Bluesky was still working to fix it.

In a statement issued by their Marketing and Communications Manager, Melinda Brown, the company apologised to its customers.

“Bluesky wishes to inform our customers and members of the public regarding the network issues and intermittent service impacts during the day today,” the statement reads.

“We had a Fibre breakdown between Samoa and American Samoa which caused this outage.

“Some of our Prepaid mobile and Broadband customers were impacted. Most issues are being resolved and our teams are working tirelessly in order to bring our services back to normal.

“Bluesky is working through with urgency and we sincerely regret the  inconvenience caused. We'll keep you updated of progress made.

Sincerely, Your Bluesky Family”
