Mother’s recipe for successful family

Every family has their own challenges to solve.

Just as each family is blessed in their own unique way.

For 63-year-old Tofoipūpū Vui, from the village of Nu’u, she said everything is fine at home.

She believes that you can overcome anything if you work hard.

“I have four children,” she tells the Village Voice.

“Three of them are now living with their own families and the one in the United States sends us money.”

But even that doesn’t stop her and her husband from working.

“My 65-year-old husband is employed by Bluebird Company Limited,” she said.

“He is a hard worker and I respect him because he always gets up early and wants to do his best for his employer.

“This is an example we want to set for our children.”

Mrs. Vui told the Village Voice team yesterday that the money she receives from her son and her husband’s salary was enough to support the family.

“My husband also gets a pension,” she added.

“We have church obligations and family obligations but my husband and I always manage to save some money for our own survival.

“I know for a fact that the cost of living is high, but we keep facing problems if we sit and do nothing at all.”

Mrs. Vui also pointed out the happiness is the key to a good life.

She said that although there are many challenges in life, she considers being positive and doing your best to be the most important lessons in life.
