Why the Minister is wrong

Dear Editor,

Interesting reading Minister Loau’s comments.

The Minister should know better if he has this office about the causes and the solutions of this problem. He completely contradicts all tested theories about the issue.

All theories in education, sociology, psychology and philosophy completely go against everything he is saying about the solution of more bible and corporal punishment being needed to solve the problems in Samoan schools and society in general when it comes to too much violence.

Here again is why having a society indoctrinated in fairy tails and myth about supernatural ghosts and books that these indoctrinated troglodytes claim was inspired by their mythical ghosts is so problematic for the society in general. Progress is severely stifled because false beliefs trump fact and real scientific knowledge that could actually address the issues and make things better, especially for these abused children who are being indoctrinated with myth in this vicious cycle which will do nothing more than insure ignorance so the cycle of violence continues.  It’s one thing for the religious to attend church and worship for community and social satisfaction it’s quite another to rely on myth and fairytale to create public policies.

This is the danger in Samoa with all their blah, blah, blah nonsense about religion being the answer to fixing modern day problems.

It’s time to look for the answers in studies that are peer reviewed and written in credible scientific journals rather than ridiculous ideas from the 1st century written by goat herders with less knowledge than a modern day cleric living in a cave in Afghanistan has today.
