Days of one’s life flow ever onward
Journeys to and fro never ending
From the harshness of winter
Invaded by frigid temperatures
Trees stark and tall
Beauty desolate
People bundled, layer upon layer
Every inch of skin covered
Hidden from the invading cold
To the warmth of tropical breezes
Where one walks in the sunshine
Only sandals on one’s feet
Tree lined walk ways
Green and beautiful
Move softly in the gentle breeze
Sounds of planes in the distance
Like birds in the sky
