Singing in the Christmas spirit

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. At the Vaitele-uta E.F.K.S. compound, there is definitely no mistaking the season with the start of the popular 13 Days of Christmas television programme.

Celebrating its 20th season, this year’s programme was officially opened by Archbishop Alapati Lui Mataeliga and the Police Band on Tuesday night.

In attendance was the Head of State, His Highness Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aletoa Sualauvi II, the Masiofo, Her Highness Fa’amausili Leinafo and Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sa’ilele Malielegaoi.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa congratulated the Vaitele-uta C.C.C.S for persevering with the programme over the last twenty years.

The choirs performing this year include the Police Choir (opening), E.F.K.S. Sapapali’i (last night), Ministry of Education, Bluesky Samoa, Leulumoega Fou College, E.F.K.S. Tulaele, E.F.K.T. Atafu, E.F.K.S. Lauli’i, Faleata College, E.F.K.S. Saoluafata, E.F.K.S. Fasito’o-Uta, E.F.K.S. Fasito’o-Tai and E.F.K.S. Vaitele-Uta.
