Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.

Agagafa’afetai Rapha Peresipi knows what this feels like, having reaped the fruits of her hard work when she was announced the Dux of Vaimoso Primary School this week.

Her achievement was a proud moment for her parents, Rokeni Peresipi and Hatessah Rokeni Peresipi.

Agagafaafetai also topped Mathematics and Samoan Studies.

“My journey has now come to an end here at Vaimoso Primary School and come next year I will continue my studies to Avele College,” she said.

“I want to say a big thank you to my parents who have been supporting me throughout my studies. This award is for the both of them.”

Agagafa’afetai says she’s on a mission to achieve her dream career and that is to be a teacher.

“I will be a teacher one day and I will be teaching mathematics to the children of Samoa.”

Agagafaafetai hails from the village of Vaitele-uta.
