No one wants to live life without water.

Ask Setefano Tagitagi, from Fasito’o-tai, and he will tell you all about it.

After speaking to the Village Voice, it became clear that the 47-year-old desperately needs help.

“The only thing I want to ask for help with is a water tank for our family,” Setefano told the Village Voice.

“That’s the only thing I need because our home is right up the hill, at the forestry area, and that explains why the government’s water cannot reach where we are.”

According to Setefano, they moved out of their home recently, to the inner village, because of this situation.

“It has been 10 years since it was like this. We always carry water from the inner village to our house and sometimes we just try our best to find the closest area where we can find water.”

The rainy season is a temporary relief.

“To tell you the truth, it gets a little better when it rains.

“It’s not easy to find water and that’s why a water tank is all I’m asking for, so we can store water inside for our own use.

“I mean, if we look at this situation and if I’m being honest about it, we also have a bathroom which is a facility that always requires water to be used and I know that no one wants to go back in time and use the old ways that we have started from, right?

Aside from water, Setefano is pretty happy with life.

“We need water for everything; for food, for drinking, and also our plantation.

“This plantation is our source of income so if it dies, we don’t know how we are going to earn a living.

“We need help because sometimes there are things that we are not capable of achieving, even if it’s a matter of life, and that is why we reach out to other people for help.

“I just need a water tank for a good life for my family.”
