NEW YORK (AP) — Wait, Under Armour presented at New York Fashion Week?

Right.

The company known for its athletic wear and accessories made its fashion week debut Thursday — the last day of the fashion spectacle — to premiere a trendy line for men and women to be worn outside the gym.

As lights flickered and screeching, loud music played in the background, models walked in the warehouse-looking venue to showcase designs by Tim Coppens that stayed true to athleticism: The UAS COLLECTION 01 is rooted in comfort.

Army green, black, white and tan dominated the palette, but there were some bright spots, including hints of yellow splashed across the clothes and thin luminous orange coats — both short and long — that worked well. The items were layered, including hoodies, puffy vests, scarfs and skully hats. The men's shorts included tights underneath.

Some pieces felt more classic, including a loose white dress with black and tan sections, and a soft tan coat with sharp lines. Other highlights included the footwear, especially the white sneakers with tan soles and white high-tops.

They're meant for walking. Not running.
