Jesus Christ heals anyone who believes.

That’s the overarching aim of a healing crusade to be held over four days starting this Wednesday at Marist St. Joseph’s Sports Club, Lotopa.

Evangelist Joseph Lee and his team from Pioneer Ministry New Zealand, have been in Samoa for the past few days to prepare for the event. 

And he is excited, believing that God Almighty will perform miracles in Samoa for the people of Samoa.

“We just love the people here in Samoa and we believe that God has a special place in His heart for everyone,” Mr. Lee tells the Sunday Samoan.

This week’s event is not the first for Mr. Lee in this country. A similar crusade was held last year where people were healed through their faith in the name of Jesus.

“People might say, why come to Samoa? There’s enough churches here,” he says. “Yes we have lots of religions here but not lots of relationship. I can say you can know God in your head but it’s different to know God by your heart,

“Looking at the history of Samoa, the way they came to know Christ from a pioneer like John Williams through the unity of the nation, it is very special.”

Fast-forward to now, Mr. Lee wants Samoans to know that God loves them very much. “There’s a special place in God’s heart for the people of Samoa,” he said.

“God is going to do it again and stir up the spirit of the people to come back to Him.

“There will be a great move by the spirit of God that’s coming to Samoa, that’s going to be like - where there’s unusual unity God’s going to pour out unusual blessings.”

The event is non denominational. Which means everyone is invited.

 “Anyone can come and experience His love,” he says.

“The Bible says that when we lift up Jesus, then we will draw men and I’m encouraging everyone to bring the lost, hurt, the skeptical, those with depression, mental problems – come and see what God can do.

“Jesus is the one who created us and He’s the only one that can heal us.” Pioneer Ministry New Zealand is not a stranger to the region. They have done similar events in Vanuatu, Fiji and American Samoa. 

In fact, after the crusades in Apia, Mr. Lee and his team will move to American Samoa where they are scheduled to continue for three days from 27 until 30 April at the Veterans Memorial Stadium. At Lotopa, the crusade starts at 7pm on Wednesday.
