It is now less than a week until the second Sheraton 2 Sheraton Annual 33km Outrigger Race!

This year’s regatta is taking place despite the damages from cyclone Gita closing the Sheraton Aggie Grey’s Hotel and Bungalows in Apia.

Paddlers will meet this Saturday, 24 March 2018, outside the Sheraton Aggie Grey’s at 12pm, and the race will commence at 1pm and end 33km away at the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort in Mulifanua.

Teams are still able to register on www.alopaopao.net

After the race, there will be prize giving, BBQ and the Sheraton Beach Party, to which both paddlers and the general public are invited to attend.

Sheraton is offering discounted prices for those wishing to stay at The Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort for the event at $335 tala per night for two people.

There is more information regarding this on the Alo Paopao website.

Following race day, the race committee and Sheraton have organised a Vailima sponsored Seaside Sunday Session, a day to kick back and celebrate our existence on this earth with  To’ona’I lunch, Kegs, DJ, and games on the beach, perfect for a laid back Sunday session. Beer tickets are available, and the party will go on until the kegs run dry.

The Event will take place from 1:30pm on Sunday the 25th at the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort in Mulifanua.

This event is being organised by the Alo Paopao Events Committee, a not for profit organisation that aims to promote and support Samoa’s proud paddling teams and culture.

The regatta is sponsored by Vailima, Sheraton, M&J Ah Fook, PFL, Naydith Events Hirage
