Excitement builds ahead of LIFE Con

A company called Events, Marketing and Distribution (EMD) is well on its way to launch the first Le Independence Fashion Expo Convention (LIFE Con) next month.

The three-day extravaganza is from the 1st until 3rd of June 2017.

It hopes to elevate small businesses in the fashion industry. 

The event aims to boost the economic development of Samoa by providing its participants with a platform to gather, network promote and expand their horizons with professional assistance and mentorship from EMD.

Kevin Schuster, Director of EMD, is excited about the event.

 “There are four categories of participants, being fashion houses and labels, hair and make-up artistry and specialists, modeling and audio visuals and talents,” said Mr. Schuster.

According to the organiser, the event is called LIFE-Con because it’s about “celebration of life, revival, rebirth and recharge aimed at businesses in the private sector with an objective for these business to gain momentum for success.”

One of the most important aspects LIFE-Con 2017 is its Think Pink initiative. Mr. Schuster said this is to pay tribute to the brave survivors of Breast Cancer. 

He added that the participants would benefit from the professional publicity, marketing through the LIFE-Con brand by EMD, marketing and distribution advice and professional support, media coverage during the three-day event.

The first two days will be held at the T.A.T.T.E Convention Centre with the last day at Taumeasina Island Resort. 

Mr. Schuster said the planning stages have been challenging but he is looking forward to the event. He acknowledges the support from different companies who are making the event possible.
