Students at Samoa Primary School had plenty of reasons to celebrate yesterday following a visit by the Ambassador of China to Samoa, Wang Xuefeng.

The Ambassador was there to present a donation of Mathematics and Art resources, sports equipment and stationeries to the school.

In addressing the students and teachers, Mr. Xuefeng said the donation is part of their continuous support to develop education in Samoa.

Samoa Primary accepted and thanked the Chinese Embassy for their generosity.

“On behalf of everyone here, I would like to show our gratitude and appreciation to the People’s Republic of China for this donation to assist our school,” said Sue Su’a.

“Thanks for maintaining the beauty of this school in so many ways that you’ve provided for us and we’re looking forward to continue this partnership with you. You can rest assure we will make good use of this generous donation.”

Since Samoa Primary started in 2004, the school has not increased its fees and kept them at the same level despite the increases in operational costs.

Samoa Primary consequently has always fundraised to deliver some its academic programme as well as important extra-curricular activities for the well-rounded development of students.
