Legislative Assembly looks for new Clerk

The Office of the Legislative Assembly is advertising the Chief Executive Officer position.

The post was advertised yesterday on the Parliament’s website. 

The said position was held by Sefuiva Charlene Malele, whose contract was terminated last month as a result of an investigation by the Audit Office. 

Speaker of Parliament, Leaupepe Tole’afoa Fa’afisi, had told the Samoa Observer the position would eventually be advertised.

According to the notice of employment vacancies, the CEO contract is for three years with a salary of $117,667 per annum. Applications are to be addressed to the Acting Clerk of the Legislative Assembly. 

Aside from the CEO position the OCLA, other employment includes the Manager for the Community Relations Services Division; Senior Hansard Sub Editor; Senior Translation Officer; Senior Policy & Planning Officer; Senior Chamber Officer and Research Officer.  

The deadline for applications is 1 March, 2019 and that late submittals will not be accepted, says the notice.
