A young lady from America, Chrissy Mueller is looking for her Samoan friend.

Her name is Vanessa.

According to Chrissy, she was only six months old when her family moved to Samoa and that was 26 years ago.

During their time in the country, “my family hired a beautiful Samoan woman to help my mother take care of my two brothers, my sister and me, and her name is Vanessa”

“So I am back 26 years later, hoping to find this wonderful woman and thank her for the support and love that she offered my family,” she said.

“Vanessa loved my family dearly and was such an important part of our time here.

“My mother said that Vanessa rarely had me out of her arms.”

She went on to say that her father’s love for Samoa brought him back and their family in the late ‘90’s.

“During those two years, we lived in a house on Mt Vaea,” she said.

“We also adopted a Samoan boy who had been badly abused by his family.

“He has been living in America with my family and is now 30 years old.

Chrissy’s father, Daniel Mueller was the manager of the Peace Corps from 1989-1991.

“This was not his first visit to island.

“ In1967 he visited for two years as one of the first groups of Peace Corps volunteers to come to Samoa.”

Chrissy said that the only information that she has for Vanessa is the village where she lived in which is Vailima.

Chrissy is in the country until the 10th of March this year.
