Tuana’imato came to life on Wednesday evening when hundreds of members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church turned up to welcome their President.

The parade at the hockey fields was part of a programme to welcome the President of the General Conference of the Seventh-day-Adventist Church Worldwide Rev. Elder Ted Wilson and his wife, Nancy Wilson.

In addressing the crowd, President Wilson said the welcome extended to them for the past two days has been overwhelming.

“You look beautiful, you look smart and you look like you are ready for God’s business,” he said.

“God is for us as we march through our lives and as we march everyday, march to the beat of a drum that is from heaven.

“Now we have seen some nice drums played today and they have helped us feel like we are a part of a great parade in a march and that is important because a drum helps to create a sense that you are part of something that is moving.”

President Wilson emphasised the need to be closer to God.

“God intends for all of you to be in contact with Him every day through Bible Study, Prayer, through focusing on God’s instruction for you and in hearing of His instructions through the spirit of prophesy,” he said.

He also encouraged them to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit to lead them.

“It is a wonderful thing when the Holy Spirit speaks to you to march in two with heaven and I hope that each of you by God’s grace will always listen to the voice of God and the drum beat from heaven,” he said.

“For God is helping us to move towards eternity and heaven itself as we march through the days of our lives.

“What a privilege to be here in Samoa to see God’s church filled with the spirit of heaven.

“I want to urge each of you especially the young people to remember this day as not just the day when you have come to honour the world church for that is what you have done.

“You have helped us to know that you are part of God’s great world family.”

After the parade the congregation gathered for a service at the Tuana’imato Gym 1.
