Questions over land battle

Dear Editor,

Re: Legal battle over Teariki’s estate  I just want to point out that the people who inherited and lived on the land (Lilli and Tiresa’s descendants) are Samoan.

I don’t believe anyone would appreciate people coming out saying they own the land your family have held and lived on for generations (it is not unwarranted to expect their evidence to be ‘airtight’ – I’m curious if this will set a precedence on future Samoan land claims?

And what is going on with the non-related/foreign parties? Who the hell are they? What kind of support are they providing?

What is their interest in supporting these land claims? And exactly what do they have to gain out of this? Are these not fair questions for a Samoan to ask?
