Three more lives have been lost as a result of suicide.

This was confirmed by the Police during their weekly press conference yesterday.

Police Media Spokesperson, Su’a Lemamea Tiumalu, said all three victims are males.

The first man was 57 from Fa’asalele’aga District, the second was 53, also from another part of Savai’i and the third was from Nuu.

Su’a said the 57-year-old man was found dead last week.

They suspect he took his own life over a family matter.

The second death in Savaii is also the result of a family dispute between a man and his wife.

His death was reported to the Tuasivi Hospital.

The third death occurred on Sunday.

The man’s body was found in his father’s storeroom.

Su’a said no post mortems would be carried out on the bodies of two men who died from Savai’i.
