It was not a usual Monday for the people of Savai’i when the last leg of the Golden experience trade promotion rolled into the big island at S.S.A.B. Salelologa.

The Golden Experience promo witnessed a large crowd there to learn about the event and its logistics.

Representatives from various government sectors, owners of private businesses as well as schools head teachers in Savai’i were invited to the opening ceremony.

Pastor Joe Amosa blessed the event while C.E.O Fiti Leung Wai delivered the keynote address.

“I am grateful to our principals, teachers from various schools, guests who have come here to support and witness this important event,” she said.

“All our effort and more importantly the investment of our partners and suppliers in hosting this trade promotion would be futile without your presence and support.”

A gentleman from the village of Saipipi, Maulupe Fa’atali expressed his excitement about the affordably priced washing machine he bought from the specials offered.

“I had never thought I would be able to buy a Samsung washing machine at this golden price of $899.00,” he said.

“The original idea I had in mind when I went to the Trade Promotion is to request to the C.E.O of S.S.A.B if I am able to make any deposit and make payment terms for a washing machine for my wife.”

“I know these good Samsung machines are quite high in price, because of their quality and warranty that comes with it upon purchase but it was a different story when I went to the Trade Promotion on Monday.”

“I have wanted to buy a washing machine for my wife who does the washing with bare hands every day a long time ago but the prices were too high. This is the greatest gift i can give my wife for Mother’s Day next month.”

Another happy customer from Saipipi, Nanai Tofilau Lami Itaki struggled to find the exact words to explain his golden experience. Nanai spent more than $4,000 on the spot for his furniture and treadmill.

“I am purchasing my beds and treadmill now as I don’t know when I will get any other specials like these in the near future,” he said.

“I have been watching S.S.A.B ads on TV and I have been saving up at the same time so come the trade promotion i would have the money to purchase what I want for my house”

The Managing Director of S.S.A.B. Savai’i, Tagaloa Fritz Vito said: “The Golden experience trade promotion had opened many golden opportunities for Savaii people. Savaii people are very hospitable and they like to meet guests from overseas”.

A number of fun activities, crazy specials were put in place during the trade promotion for the Savaii people to win golden prizes.

Michael Scott, the president and owner of Scott Shoes from Hawaii gave away more than 2 Scott shoes valued at $94.50 each. People of Savaii only had to dance on the stage in order to get Scott shoes.

Anu Fa’amanuia and Temisa Filipo from the Fatupaepape group in Tokelau acknowledged SSAB for the great opportunity and platform for them to educate the Samoan market about the quality of the woven fans, vaka, woven hats, ula sisi and carved boats they make. The crew from Tokelau look forward to bringing more products in the next trade promotion with much more better prices for our customers here to take advantage of.

Graham Hedges from Croxley spoke on behalf of all the suppliers that were present at the golden experience trade promotion.

“We as suppliers are very happy to be here in Savaii, to meet the people who use our products and services on daily basis”.

CEO Fiti Leung Wai dedicates the success of the Golden Experience Trade Promotion to our dearest Heavenly Father for his continuous favour upon SSAB.

“I am grateful and wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to all our suppliers who have travelled from overseas such as New Zealand, Hawaii, China and Tokelau” said CEO Fiti Leung Wai.
