In the build up to their 10th year anniversary, the Samoa Stationery and Books (S.S.A.B.) is hosting the S.S.A.B. Meka Challenge.

This was confirmed by S.S.A.B. President and C.E.O., Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai in a brief interview with the Sunday Samoan.

“It’s quite simple. You must upload your dance video on Facebook with required hashtag #SSAB10thANNIVERSARY.”

“It’s a dance challenge in any form of dance. This dance challenge is promoted simply because we want our people, Samoan people, to be part of our celebration for our 10 blessed years of service to Samoa.”

“This is the introductory element of our campaign and we are giving away $1,000 tala as the grand prize and $500 tala for the second place.”

“This competition is open to everyone, boys and girls of all ages, any setting, anywhere is allowed.”

According to Tofilau, there are no limitations to the number of groups or individuals who wish to compete.

“This is a Facebook challenge and given that Facebook is the most used and popular social media platform in Samoa, we thought to target it for this competition and the challenge with the most likes will win the competition.”

Tofilau reminded there is no limit to number of dancers, any setting, anywhere and it is open to everyone; however the music it has to be in its original form and no remixes.
