Good governance in sight for future leaders

The new class of the Leadership Samoa Programme will have the privilege of hearing from Prime, Tuilaepa Dr. Sa’ilele Malielegaoi this week.

It’s the first part of their study tours with the Good Governance, Parliament, Law and Order study tour starting yesterday.

As part of the continuous visits to various sectors in Samoa, the group will get to hear from the Prime Minister who will talk about the importance of good governance for Samoa.

Other presentations the group will hear from include the Associate Minister of Justice and Courts Administration, Lenatai Victor Tamapua, the C.E.O. of M.J.C.A, Papali’i John Taimalelagi, C.E.O. of M.P.M.C, Agafili Shem Leo and the Deputy Clerk of Office of the Legislative Assembly.

The group will also meet the Attorney General, Police Commissioner, Electoral Commissioner, Prisons Commissioner, Executive Director of Samoa Law Reform Commission, C.E.O. of Samoa Institute of Directors and the President of the Samoa Law Society. 

All talks will be based on roles and responsibilities of each Government entity in maintaining good governance and also contribution to improving Law and Justice sector in Samoa.

The C.E.O. of Leadership Samoa, Seumanu Douglas Ngau Chun, said the tour is extremely important.
