Piula Theological College has come a long way.

Earlier this week, the College marked its 150th birthday with the unveiling of a memorial monument and the commissioning of a double-storey building.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, while delivering his keynote speech at the event, said Piula has graduated not only pastors but also its brass band participating in national events.

“Piula has been known for several qualities in the past 150 years.

Apart from its service to the church by training and providing qualified pastors, Piula students have also been branded as exciting entertainers, dancing and its brass band shows during national independence, as good cricket players, as fishermen and the vigorous manpower in most of its work,” Tuilaepa said.
