Well spoken, Commissioner Keil. As a retired Samoan (AC-78) military in the U.S. Army, I totally agree.
This alignment has been long overdue.
Police officers are supposed to enforce and uphold the law but not above the law. If I have done something bad in the military like drunk driving or get in a fight, I would expect my commander to throw the book at me.
Civilian life, ah may be a slap on the wrist. Why is this? It’s because we are supposed to set a good example.
So I think it’s time to weed out those bad ones and recruit the ones with values to uphold the good name of Samoa.
They have been hanging out with the burglars a lot that they think it is the norm to break into peoples houses. As a subject matter expert on military issues, I can guarantee that you are heading in the right direction. Congratulations class mate.
