As the year winds down, one lucky Bluesky customer could be driving away in a brand new 2018 Toyota Hilux valued at $105,500.

Whoever that might be, what we do know is that he or she will be a local.

In partnership with Asco Motors, the ‘Win a Brand New 2018 Toyota Hilux’ promotion  ends tomorrow, Sunday 31 December 2017 at 11:59pm. The entrants will then face a nervous wait as the draw will only be conducted on Thursday 4 January 2018.

All Bluesky prepaid mobile, post paid capped mobile and landline residential customers are eligible to enter this promotion, where eligible entries and customers have also gone into a daily draw to win eCharge. The final grand prize has special terms and conditions where tourists and persons on a visiting visa status are not eligible to win, giving local residents the chance of a lifetime.

But it’s not just the car, the total value of eCharge that will be won by participants over the period of this promotion is $50,000.

The Marketing Communications Manager of Bluesky Samoa, Melinda Brown, said this is an exciting time for everyone at Bluesky.

“It is our hopes that we will continue to serve Samoa and make improvements to create a superior experience for all our customers and members of the public,” she said.

“Most importantly, we want to say a huge, heartfelt thanks you to all our customers, partners, the community and members of the public for coming along with us on this journey during 2017. We sincerely thank you for your patronage, your support and your loyal advocacy of our brand.

“We will persist on this journey to progress and to make 2018 the very best for you, and all our dear customers. Fa’afetai tele lava Samoa. Manuia le tausaga fou and God Bless.”

The promotion brings to an end what has been a massive year for Bluesky.

In statement, the company recounts some of the key events this year:

“The first quarter of the year kicked off with the launch of Bluesky’s Superior 4G Plus network and as the only telecommunications provider in Samoa to offer 4G Plus on its network, the customer experience was enhanced extensively and accessibility increased Countrywide with the upgrade of all 2G sites to 3G and the dominant coverage of 4G in both Upolu and Savai’i including Manono Island.

Post the launch of its Superior 4G Plus Network and an unforgettable event with the infamous Fiji, and his exclusive line up of artists and musicians to mark a historical milestone for not only the technology giant but the country at large, Bluesky hit the ground running with its new 4G promotions right across it’s quad-play arena.

The year got better with a huge birthday promotion in April to celebrate Bluesky’s 6th Birthday which rewarded pre-paid mobile customers with $1000 TALA daily cash giveaways and new handsets.

And then in June, Bluesky officially announced its commitment of $100,000 TALA to Netball Samoa in support of one of the most loved female sports in the country.

This was shortly followed by another big promotion in July with the 2017 FORD RANGER giveaway and daily eCharge rewards.

In October, PINKTOBER took Samoa by a storm with massive support from local businesses and Bluesky’s long term, strategic partnership with Samoa Cancer Society to support those fighting cancer and to bring increased awareness to Breast cancer. An immense contribution of $50,000 TALA was collated by the community at large including Bluesky’s contribution, for the PINKTOBER cause.

November then saw Bluesky launch for the first time, prepaid roaming for mobile customers who travel to Australia and New Zealand. This means that customers on prepaid SIMs can now travel and make calls home to Samoa, when they are in New Zealand and Australia.

Prepaid roaming for Bluesky mobile customers also commenced for the first time in American Samoa where Bluesky is the only carrier to provide this service. Customers are now able to make calls from American Samoa to Samoa on their local prepaid SIM, at the local rate of 0.35 SENE per minute.

In addition,  Bluesky officially renewed its sponsorship partnership with Samoa Rugby Union (S.R.U.) committing $5Million TALA up to the year 2020, to support the Manu Samoa Sevens, including sustaining newly contracted players and our future Manu Samoa players.”
