The Samoa Hotel Association (S.H.A) as the lead industry body for the Tourism and Hospitality sector in Samoa will be officially hosting the Country’s 55th Independence Celebrations Ball tomorrow night. 

The S.H.A Marketing and Events Subcommittee is spearheading the event with the invaluable support from the Samoa Tourism Authority, Australia-Pacific Technical College (A.P.T.C) and various other industry partners. 

The S.H.A Executive Council and Marketing & Events Subcommittee have been preparing an Industry Marketing Plan to support and augment the national tourism organisation that is; Samoa Tourism Authority (S.T.A) Strategic Marketing Plan; with the main objectives to increase activities, increase destination appeal and increase occupancy rates. 

Given the restricted S.T.A Destination Marketing Budget; the Samoa Hotel Association are developing and have scheduled activities to raise funds to implement the industry Marketing Plan with the S.H.A Official Independence Ball to start. 

S.H.A is taking a holistic approach to marketing Samoa working together with Samoa Tourism Authority and Development Partners while driving change at the partnership level as well as the grassroots and within our own industry. 

Each of the guests attending the S.H.A Samoa Independence Ball will be treated to a unique experience that has been carefully orchestrated by our Samoa Hotels Association members and industry partners including the Samoa Tourism Authority, A.P.T.C and Martin Hautus Institute of Learning Samoa. 

All proceeds will go towards strengthening Samoa’s Tourism & Hospitality industry through the implementation of Industry Marketing & Events initiatives.
