SSAB continues to support the Moamoa Roosters Sports Club

SSAB continues to give back to the community and in doing so; the company is offering its full support for the Moamoa Rooster Sports Club by renewing a sponsorship contract for this year, 2019. 

The renewal of sponsorship contract is dependent on the performance of the Club’s teams last year and good behavior amongst the youth of Moamoa village. 

When asked about this well-established relationship; Fainuulelei James Ah Wai commented with sincerity.

 “We are thankful and pleased to SSAB for their enduring support for our club. SSAB’s help in promoting sports for our youth have really boosted harmony, peace and amity within our village” said Fainuulelei. 

SSAB’s CEO and President, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai stated that she is very happy to again offer her full support for the Moamoa Roosters Rugby club. 

“The aim is to really provide a platform for the talented youth of Moamoa so they can get exposure and be recognized with hope to score professional contracts in overseas”

 “SSAB has been the main sponsor for the Roosters over the years and we are happy to carry on this relationship and support” 

I would like to acknowledge the Management team of the Club; and also their coaches for volunteering their time to develop sports amongst our youth”. 

The total sponsorship package is worth $7000 tala which will be allocated between rugby, soccer, hockey and tag teams 

SSAB currently recruits players who are of good character and well-disciplined as casual workers and are paid well, above minimum wage. 

Nissan Aitui is the most recent employee recruited by SSAB along with five other players who are now working full time at SSAB.  

With a grateful heart he had this to say, “I am beyond thankful to GOD for the opportunity to be playing in the Roosters team which has now blessed me to work at SSAB and support my family”.
